内容简介：Ubiquitous Networking or Computing was a vision painted by late Mark Weiser almost 20 years ago in an era when both computing and wireless technology were far less than powerful than they are today. Nevertheless Mark’s vision was basically sound, and now, computing and wireless technology, driven largely by other needs such as WWAN and WLAN is now much closer to making his vision a reality.
This talk will survey the different trends in ubiquitous computing in the US and outline the remaining challenges before Mark’s vision is fully realized.
